Ok we REALLY want to see fantasmic on may 24 but none of the restaurants in the dinner package sound that appealing to us, would much rather go to sci fi diner or 50s diner. Is the dinner package worth it for the gauranteed seating??

    Hi Brian!

My son and I love Fantasmic!  You asked for an opinion on the Fantasmic DInner Package and I will give you my honest opinion.  I really do not think that the Fantasmic Dinner Package is really worth it for getting guaranteed Fantasmic seating.  First of all, the Fantasmic Dinner Package seating areas do not provide that good of a view of Fantasmic (they are typically on the far right or left sections of the outdoor ampitheatre).  I have found that the best viewing area for Fantasmic is in the center section, just right or left of direct center stage, about half way to three quarters of the way up from the stage.  Also you still have to show up at least 30 to 45 minutes early to claim your Fantasmic Dinner Package seats.  I will also mention that meals at the restaurants on the Fantasmic Dinner Package tend to be higher priced than the two restaurants that you mentioned in your question.

If you choose to eat at 50's Prime Time Cafe or the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater, both of which are extremely fun dinning experiences, then I would recommend that you begin lining up for Fantasmic at least one hour or more before Fantasmic is scheduled to begin to secure a good seat.

I hope that you have a magical, Fantasmic experience in Hollywood Studios on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
