Hey there, Kassidy! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is amazingly special to celebrate your daughter's first birthday at the Disneyland Resort!
The first thing you will want to do is stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park to pick up a complimentary birthday button. Your daughter might be too young to wear it (wiggly kids and pokey pins usually don't mix well), but you could pin it on your bag, stroller, or just have it as a keepsake. Next, check the
Disneyland app to see when and where Moana is meeting. While she is not available at a character meal, she has been making regular appearances in Adventureland.
Then, it's time for some fun attractions with your birthday girl. She can ride with you on
over 40 attractions that do not have height requirements. I suggest Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Enchanted Tiki Room, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, and most attractions in "a bug's land."
It might also be a fun idea to have lunch with the princesses at
Ariel's Grotto (reservations can be made online or by calling [714] 781-3463). Your daughter will meet Ariel upon entering the restaurant and then several of her regal friends will visit your table as you dine! You can even
order a custom birthday cake and have it delivered to your table. Since it's her first birthday, consider ordering a "smash" cake for her in addition to one for the family to enjoy.
As you can see, there are lots of fun ways to celebrate your little one on her special day. I hope you have a magnificent visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
