Hi Danielle!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hear that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for Thanksgiving!
Most certainly, select restaurants do offer holiday dining options in November and December. My favorite restaurant for Thanksgiving is
Liberty Tree Tavern. The historic decor and family dining style with the all-you-care-to-enjoy Patriot's Platter create the kind of experience we cherish for Thanksgiving. On one visit, there were eight of us dining at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch - we told stories and, quite honestly, laughed for the entire meal. Those are memories that I will cherish forever.
For breakfast, my family loves
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Once again, the family-style experience allows us to eat while talking. Since we typically do an 8:00 a.m. breakfast reservation, we enjoy the rather solitary stroll through World Showcase to the restaurant and then, we go over our plans for the day at breakfast. On our last visit we had a window table which was quite lovely.
For dinner, no matter what the holiday, we prefer
'Ohana. While the food may not reflect Traditional Thanksgiving dinner fare, there are so many scrumptious options. The family-style service and gorgeous setting at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are wonderfully relaxing after a busy day in the parks.
Each year, just before the holiday, the restaurants that will serve a special meal typically have a note on their websites and/or an article will come out in the
Disney Parks Blog. Of course, for the stunning settings, we love Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant for dinner. We dined at Cinderella's Royal Table on Christmas Day recently and it was a perfect meal to end the day.
Rose & Crown Dining Room in Epcot and Tiffins Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom are also great options.
Danielle, for my family, we gravitate towards restaurants with gorgeous views. For an absolutely picture-perfect view, consider California Grill atop Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Sending you pixie dust as you pick the restaurant that fits your family's dining style!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
