Ok. We had to move our trip with our granddaughter to WDW from June to Sept because my wife broke her leg. The good news is we added a couple xtra days with DD. Staying at ASM & have a 7:25 a.m. res at Chef Mickeys. How early should we be on the bus?

Hi Don! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is so great to hear from you again!

I am so sorry to hear about your wife’s leg however I think it is a great idea to wait until she is all healed up before traveling! Once your wife’s leg is healed she will hopefully be as good as new and be able to have a magical time!

Complimentary Resort Transportation typically begins running approximately 45 minutes prior to Theme Park opening and up to one hour past Theme Park Closing. It is important to understand that generally the buses do not begin operating before then. It has been my experience that when having a very early dining reservation like you do, you may find it difficult to find a bus running to take you to Magic Kingdom at that hour. Whenever we make early dining reservations we typically call a cab to take us to our reservation. The concierge desk has always been very helpful when we are trying to locate a reputable cab company.

It is also important to know that it is recommended that when using the Complimentary Resort Transportation that you allow up to 90 minutes for travel within the Walt Disney World Resort. Buses typically pick up and drop off every 20 minutes and then you have to figure in travel time and the potential for traffic.

I hope that I have helped to answer your question. We look forward to hearing from you real soon! We love helping guests just like you plan their Disney Parks vacations!

    Have an Unforgettable time!
