Is it ok to leave the Magicband+ on charge all night? Thank you

    Hiya Carol,

Welcome back to planDisney! A MagicBand+ is an excellent accessory for a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It is really neat that you can interact with the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, but my personal favorite feature is the interaction during Nighttime Spectaculars. I have an infant, and she was wholly amused watching all the lights on her momma's wrist, allowing me to watch the show before her attention span waned.

With all the fun of the MagicBand+, the fact that I had to charge it overwhelmed me a little. I was more than a little nervous, given my history with my mobile device's battery. Great news, though, Disney recommends that for an optimal charge, you should charge your MagicBand+ overnight! I couldn't find time during the day to charge my MagicBand+ with how full my itinerary was, so I only ever charged it overnight, and mine is still functioning well. Once your MagicBand+ is fully charged (indicated by the green animation), your battery should last between 1-3 days, so you don't need to charge it every night unless needed. I recommend pairing it to your mobile device and using your My Disney Experience mobile app to keep track of your battery status. This will allow you to keep track of your battery all day without having to do any guesswork. If your battery should die, then don't worry. You can still enter the Theme Parks, unlock your Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel room, and redeem Lightning Lanes (basically everything an original MagicBand can do).

I hope this was helpful, Carol! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
