Ok, so last time I was at Disney, Magic Bands did not exist... are the only ways to get one by purchasing online or at a resort???

    Hi Steve!

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It sounds like it's been a while since your last Walt Disney World vacation, and I'm sure you'll find lots of new attractions awaiting you. For one, Toy Story Land will be open, and that's exciting to see. Pandora – The World of Avatar is also a recent and — in my opinion — must-do experience.

MagicBands make for such cool, wearable tech. If you're a Guest at a Walt Disney World Resort, you'll receive a MagicBand automatically. You can choose to customize your MagicBand and have it mailed to you prior to your trip, or you can choose to pick up a standard MagicBand at check-in. You can also purchase MagicBands online and at merchandise locations around Walt Disney World such as Emporium at Magic Kingdom and Mouse Gear at Epcot. There are also some cool customization stations like Marketplace Co-Op - D-Tech on Demand at Disney Springs.

You'll also want to be sure and download the My Disney Experience mobile app to use for managing your FastPass+ selections, dining reservations, and other plans for your Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
