Ok Ladies, I just booked our Disney vacation for June 2016. We will be traveling with our 3 girls age 15, 11, and 9, our son age 2 and my parents. My question is with the big age gap how can I make the trip fun for everyone?

    Hello, Amanda!

Walt Disney World offers many wonderful experiences for children of all ages. Most of my Walt Disney World vacations have been multi-generational, with an age gap of 60+ years between the oldest and youngest guests. With a little bit of advance planning, you will find that everyone in your group can have a magical experience!
Each of the theme parks offers a variety of attractions to suit all ages and interests, and you'll be pleasantly surprised to see how many attractions you can enjoy together. Your tween/teen girls will probably be interested in more adventurous attractions than your toddler and his grandparents. When you are able to make FastPass+ selections, I recommend selecting the most thrilling attractions for the girls and a parent, and then select a milder ride or character greeting for the toddler and his grandparents for the same FastPass+ window. Please keep in mind that you don't have to split up if you don't want to -- the Rider Switch service can help all of the "big kids" experience the more thrilling attractions!

Everyone will need a break in the middle of the day, so make sure to take a couple of hours to relax at your hotel, if needed. Those who need to take a nap will be able to do so, while the others can enjoy a splashtastic time at the resort pool. If you do not want to travel back to the hotel, you could enjoy a nice, slow lunch at one of the many delicious dining locations at the theme parks. Make sure to arrange for any dining reservations 180 days in advance of your visit.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation, Amanda! If you have any other questions before your trip, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Wave 'hi' to Mickey for me!
