Ok, I keep reading differing statements on the dining plan for kids! Do kiddos have to order from children's menu or not?

    Hi, Dennis!

The answer is IT DEPENDS! When on the Disney Dining Plan, when ordering at a Quick Service location (ordering at a counter, "fast food" locations), kids can order either a Kids Meal or choose an adult entrée, drink, and dessert. Quick Service credits are NOT tracked between adults and children, so order from whichever menu you wish.

When on the Disney Dining Plan and using Table Service credits (think sit down with a menu) then kids must order from a Child Menu when available.  If at a buffet or family style location, kids can eat whatever they desire! (And adults are welcome to indulge in the kids area on the buffet - I always head straight for the mac n cheese!)

With so much flexibility, you will find the Disney Dining Plan very easy to use and very easy to find something tasty to eat whether you are an adult or child. I hope this clarifies the great Disney Dining Plan mystery! If you have any other questions or information you need clarified, just let us know!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
