Ok, so I'm torn between Port Orleans Riverside Resort or the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort - Bonnet Creek...I have two sons, ages 7 and 11. The Wyndham appers to have more for kids, plus I like the outdoor hot tubs and fire pits. Anyone have an opinion?

    Hi Bridget!

My family has stayed in both resorts and I recommend staying at Port Orleans Riverside unless you get a great deal at the other. The two primary reasons are Extra Magic Hours and Disney transportation. I usually don't recommend staying in a Downtown Disney resort unless you have a car, need the extra room sometimes available, or are getting a great deal. The independent bus service for the Downtown Disney hotels is better than most offsite places, but not as good as Disney transportation.

Port Orleans Riverside is a great Disney Moderate Resort. It is my favorite and won an unofficial poll of the Moms Panel last year. It is not too large, has nice theming, and a great pool. The boat service to Downtown Disney is also a lot of fun, especially at night.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions.
