Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Donald!
You really quack me up. You and your friend sound like my kind of people. Have you both checked out the
"Behind the Attraction" series on Disney+? It's packed with trivia about every corner of the Disney parks around the world. Your question reminded me of the episode on the
Disneyland Hotel, where they talk about those specialty themed suites that make you feel like you're stepping into your own fairy tale.
But just to be clear, there's no suite to sleep in above the
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough inside the park.
Now, you might have heard of the Dream Suite, which used to be an incredible experience where lucky guests could spend the night above the
Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. However, about a decade ago, it was transformed into
21 Royal—a private, luxurious dining experience for up to 12 guests, located right above
New Orleans Square. It’s the kind of exclusive event the likes of which I have only ever dreamed. But my fellow panelist
Tishra B., had the opportunity to dine there, and I’ve loved reading about
all the magical details she has shared!
The rooms at 21 Royal were originally designed to be Walt Disney’s second residence inside the park. Have you heard of
Walt’s apartment above the firehouse on
Main Street, U.S.A.? I’ve been lucky enough to
tour that special space a couple of times, but to my knowledge, only Mr. and Mrs. Disney themselves ever spent the night there.
Well Donald, now it’s time to say goodbye to all our company. Thank you for such a delightful question, and if you think of more, I’d love to
M- I- C you real soon!
K- E- Y? Because I like you.
Your pal,
Danielle
