Is it ok for a five months pregnant Mum to go on the galaxy edge ride?

Hi there, Sharon, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First off, congratulations on your pregnancy! What an exciting way to celebrate, at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I’m so excited for you to travel to Batuu soon! There’s nothing like seeing the Millenium Falcon in person… it’s a surreal moment, for sure! I recently had the chance to pilot the starship on Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, on an adventurous smuggling mission for Hondo Ohnaka. It was a thrilling, interactive, and very bumpy experience! So, to keep future flight crews safe, there is an Expectant Mothers Advisory for this attraction, which means the Disneyland Resort advises pregnant mothers to avoid it.

However, there are still plenty of ways for you to experience Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. One of my favorite things to do is stroll through the Black Spire Outpost Shops, including the exotic Creature Stall, and Toydarian Toymaker. You could even search for the perfect gift for your soon-to-be Padawan! You can also make your very own droid at Droid Depot, or your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to make a reservation for the lightsaber experience at Savi’s Workshop, starting at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit.

You’ll also need a reservation if you plan to visit Oga’s Cantina, which is definitely the place to be in Black Spire Outpost. Not to worry, though, this local watering hole also offers plenty of concoctions without alcohol, in addition to some delicious bites. The Rising Moons Overnight Oats sounds like a great way to start the day in Batuu!

I’d recommend checking out the Attractions page on the Disneyland Resort website, in order to learn about the other attractions with advisories. Here’s how to narrow down the list: Under “Accessibility & Advisories” filter the list by “Expectant Mothers Advisory” under “Physical Considerations.” Currently, there are 15 attractions that include an Expectant Mothers Advisory

The good news is that there are so many other family-friendly attractions, shows, dining experiences, parades, and entertainment, that you’ll have plenty to do this summer

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy, and a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort!
