Ok, this is my first time on this board and I'm so excited, this place is the best. I have not been to WDW since 2001, want to plan a family vacation in Oct. 09. Is it possible to plan and start paying that far in advance? We are 5 adults, 4 kids. help

Welcome to the WDW Moms Panel!

I'm happy that you found us and now we can help you plan your next vacation. You can certainly start planning for next year's trip. 2009 room rates should be released in the upcoming weeks.

However you could book a room by calling 407-W-DISNEY. Your deposit of one night's room rate plus tax would be based on the current 2008 prices. Once the 2009 rates are released, the total you owe on your room would reflect the new rates. Once you have your room booked, you can spend some of your planning time checking out discounts as they are released. A good source is If you find a discount for your travel dates, you can always call and modify your reservation.

Once you book your room, you will need your reservation's confirmation number in order to remit payments. Disney Mom, Heather M, tells how she makes her own payment  plan!
