Ok Moms...First family trip to WDW is booked for Oct. the big debate between my husband and I....to tell or not to tell?? Suggestions on how to tell when the time comes?? (kids are: girl-boy-girl, 10-6-4)

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristy!

You ask a GREAT question, but also one that is a very personal choice.  I can give you a couple ideas and maybe one will spark your interest.  There's really no wrong way.  Your kids will be over the moon -  no matter how they find out about your upcoming first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

One idea I absolutely love is this..... Purchase a Disney children's puzzle.  (Target and Wal-Mart have these).  Put the puzzle together yourself and write, "We are going to see Mickey!" in black Sharpie over the completed puzzle.  Then,  take the puzzle apart.  Whenever you are ready to spread the news, have the kids sit at the kitchen table and work together to put the puzzle together.  You'll all be so thrilled at their reaction.  I did that with my own kids and wish I had gotten it on video!  By the way, You can write whatever message you choose, of course.

Another fun thing to do is to tell them when you arrive at the airport on the day of your departure.  Have the car packed and loaded with luggage so that they have no idea you are heading to the airport.  Their reaction will be priceless.

However you choose to spread the news, I'm sure your kids will be so excited.  Congratulations on planning your exciting trip, Kristy.

I wish you a magical vacation!
