Hello, Whitley! Welcome to planDisney. My pals and I are happy to see you cruise our way with your questions.
Lots of guests sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line choose to
decorate their stateroom door, and you are welcome to do so too! The stateroom doors are magnetic and any decorations you choose should be affixed with smooth magnets. Tape or other adhesives are not allowed as they could damage the door's finish. I've definitely been inspired by fellow cruisers to decorate our stateroom door, and it makes it fun and easy to identify your stateroom as you approach. Have fun unleashing your creativity!
Regarding pin trading, as of a few weeks ago, it was not officially back. That means that Crew Members weren't displaying pins in the shops onboard to trade. However, you will find guests wearing pins on lanyards that might be willing to trade. I've even spotted some pinboards placed on stateroom doors encouraging fellow cruisers to leave a pin and take a pin. You might enjoy exploring the decks in search of similar opportunities!
As your cruise is still a few months away, it's possible that pin trading will officially return before then. You can sail back and ask again, or pack some pins and cross your fingers that you'll find opportunities to trade onboard.
Whitley, if you haven't already done so, I encourage you to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. My favorite way to use the app onboard is to "favorite" upcoming activities listed in the daily activity schedule. By clicking the heart icon displayed next to the offering, the app will send a notification to remind you when the activity is about to begin. I love scrolling through and deciding what fun things I want to join in on each day. I hope you find the feature helpful and that you'll be having nonstop fun throughout your sailing.
Enjoy your vacation!
