Would it be ok to celebrate my grandsons bday when we visit Disney World even if it is a week before his birthday when we are there? Will they still give us a button for him?

    Hey Howdy Hey Elaine,

Welcome back to planDisney. In my book, there is no better place to celebrate a birthday than Walt Disney World Resort! Whether you are turning 6 or 60, there are plenty of ways to make it a birthday to remember. Your grandson will have a fantastic time, and if you plan on visiting in the next few months, you all will be able to enjoy The World's Most Magical Celebration as well as his birthday.

You can absolutely celebrate his birthday during your vacation and request a Happy Birthday button for him to wear during the trip. You will see numerous Guests celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and more and many of them are also celebrating a little early. The Cast Members are happy to recognize special days no matter when it is celebrated. You can request his button when you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or at Guest Relations at any theme park or Disney Springs.

Additionally, there are a number of options to add even more magic to his celebration - like pre-ordering a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake, or a round of miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, or (my favorite) an evening boat ride with tickets for the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise. This Enchanting Extra will treat you all to an evening that includes scrumptious desserts and a boat ride on Seven Seas Lagoon with a perfect viewing spot of the fireworks. If you are looking to add a birthday surprise to his resort room, be sure to check out the celebration baskets available from Disney Floral & Gifts. I have been treated to a number of these in-room surprises and even "big kids" love coming back to a room filled with balloons or cookies or a stuffed Mickey Mouse. He will love it!

Wishing him the most magical birthday trip! If I can help with any further planning questions, please stop back and see me.

    With pixie dust,
