Aloha, Ingrid! I am so happy to see you again at planDisney.
A breakfast with Stitch and friends is the most magical way to start your day! I love character dining. I love Stitch. And I love
Disney's Polynesian Resort. With your first step into the resort, there is so much awaiting you with
Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana. I think everything tastes better when it's Mickey-shaped. At Best Friends Breakfast, you can get Mickey Waffles
and Stitch Waffles. The best combination ever!
'Ohana is a family-style all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast. Lilo, Stitch and friends visit Guests, take photographs and sign autographs. In my experience, it seems character breakfasts take about an hour and a half by the time you check in, are seated, enjoy your meal and spend time with the characters. With your 10:30 a.m. reservation, you may only have a mere 4 hours or less before heading to Magic Kingdom Park for early entry into
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Spending a few hours before the party will pass like a breeze, especially because you will already be on the
Disney Monorail resort loop. Have you ever done a "Tour of Homes"
gingerbread style? Several Disney Resorts Collections hotels will have amazing cookie homes. They are gorgeous! There is typically a gingerbread house at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. This is always a wonderful resort to take a break, watch the monorail overhead and take in the atmosphere. In addition to the gingerbread, the Contemporary is also home to one of the most iconic Christmas trees.
After the Contemporary, hop back on the Monorail for
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The gingerbread here is not just a house but a celebration of Christmas, confections and pastry chef artistry. We bought a gingerbread shingle just to have a taste. It was divine! I remember first taking my kids here, and they were not enthused about our plans. But their eyes widened the moment we walked in, and they enjoyed it as much as the grown-up kids did.
You could easily enjoy the hours between breakfast and the party at the Monorail resorts.
If you are looking for something a little more active, I would recommend
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. This putt-putt golf course is near Disney's Blizzard Beach. The winter-themed course is awesome anytime but especially fun during the holidays. A round of putt-putt would probably fill the time you have with the game and transportation. You can call (407) WDW-PLAY to make a reservation, which I highly recommend.
You can access Magic Kingdom Park at 4 p.m. with your party ticket. You will find people arrive early, like 3:30 p.m., to go through security and be in line as soon as the Cast Members start welcoming Guests into the park.
Ingrid, I hope this gives you ideas of how to spend your day between two amazing events! I am so excited just thinking about it!
If you have any other questions as you plan your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year,
planDisney is sweet on helping.
Merry! Merry!
