We have an Ohana res. on Fri, 1/28 at 5:15. What time is the water parade? What time shoud we arrive? We will be coming from AK or PO. Should we return to our hotel at POrleans for a rest? It's our only day at AK. What is the best way back to PO?

    Hi Marc,

I love O'hana at Disney's Polynesian Resort!  What a great, family-friendly dining experience!  You should arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to your reservation time, and leave plenty of time to get from either the Animal Kingdom or Port Orleans.  (If you are coming from the Animal Kingdom, you can take a direct bus to the Polynesian.  If you are traveling from Port Orleans, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then switch to the resort monorail, which will deliver you to your destination.)   The Electrical Water Pageant, a whimsical and time-honored Disney experience, can be viewed from the Polynesian at 9 pm.

As for whether your group should return to Port Orleans for a break before dinner, I'm going to have to leave that up to you.  I would say, if your group is up to it, stay in the theme park until it is time to go to dinner.  However, nothing interferes with the magic of Disney like an overly fatigued traveling party, so if you suspect someone in your family will need a break, by all means, schedule one!

When it is time to return to Port Orleans after your adventure at the Polynesian, take the monorail or a boat back to the Magic Kingdom.  Then take the resort-specific bus to Port Orleans.

    Have fun!
