Hi, we have O'Hana booked for 9:20am. We were planning to go to MJ same day, how long will it take to get to O'Hana from Magic Kingdom and how do we get there? How long does the breakfast usually take? Would you recommend doing both in the same day?

    Hi Linda,

Character Dining is so much fun, and I absolutely think it's a great way to start off your day in the park!  This is a leisurely meal.  The food is served family style, so technically, you could eat and run, but you'll want to give yourself plenty of time in order to have the characters visit your table.  My best guess is that you'll be out of 'Ohana and on your way to the Magic Kingdom by 11:00.  It could be earlier, but I always allot about 90 minutes for sit down meals when I'm planning my Disney itinerary.

Getting to Magic Kingdom is easy.  After your meal, you'll head to the monorail, located on the same floor as the restaurant.  It will make a quick stop at the Grand Floridian to pick up passengers and then take you to the Magic Kingdom.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
