Hi there, Lisa! Thanks for sending your question to us at planDisney!
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble finding park reservations for the day you'd like to visit the Disneyland Resort. We've seen lots of Guests rushing to the Happiest Place on Earth recently, so I guess that Disney magic is calling us all!
Theme park reservations are limited and are often booked out in advance. Unfortunately, there is no magic spell to create more availability, though if there was, I'd gladly wave my wand and make it happen for you!
Lisa, I would not recommend showing up at the gate in hopes of entering a Disneyland theme park that day. The
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar is usually kept up to date, so that is your best bet on staying informed on any changes. Sometimes, Guests' plans change. When this happens and a Guest cancels a theme park reservation, it does become available for another Guest to book. I'd recommend checking back frequently to see if new reservations have opened up for the date you'd like to visit.
If you're unable to secure a park reservation, you may consider checking out the parts of the Disneyland Resort that do not require an admission ticket for entry! You can spend all day shopping, dining and snacking your way around the
Downtown Disney District. You can also check out some of the magic at the
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Both
Napa Rose Restaurant and
Goofy's Kitchen offer character dining experiences outside of the theme parks, making them excellent options on a more relaxed Disney day, or on a day where the parks are full. Plus,
Character Greetings have returned to the Disneyland Resort, so your day will feel complete with a big squeeze from Goofy and his pals!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
