    We are offsite but are looking at staying onsite one night. Will we get the magic band?s and if so will they be useable for our whole trip or soley the night we stay at disney hotel?

    Hello Rita,

    I am so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your planning question.  We love helping guests! Any guest staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property will receive a Magic Band for their stay. Your Magic Band will only work for opening your resort room door and for charging privileges while you are a guest of the resort, however, with most ticket types, your park ticket will remain on your Magic Band until you remove it or until it expires.  There are certain types of tickets which cannot be linked to the Magic Bands so, I would recommend calling the cast members in Existing Tickets before your visit, or visiting Guest Relations once you arrive, to ensure your tickets are properly added.  To link the tickets in your My Disney Experience account, simply follow the steps under "My Reservations and Tickets" and then selecting "Link Tickets."
