The official Disney site says that Art of Animation has a "beverage cooler," but other sources show the Family Suites at AoA still have a real mini-fridge (recent video reviews, forums). Can we get a definitive answer as of March-2026?

Hello, Patrick! Thank you for bringing your cool question to us here at planDisney. Keeping things cold in your Disney Resort hotel room is super important: no doubt about it! Whether it's a nice frosty beverage, leftovers from your favorite Disney restaurant, or medications for the family, I understand the need for refrigeration. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member to get a definitive answer so we can put any doubts on ice.

Alright Patrick, the official word is that these are beverage coolers in the rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I chatted with a Cast Member named Sophia Grace about this and she told me that the beverage cooler is great for short-term storage of items like yogurt or milk and that they're "usually" cold enough for these items. She did let me know that the fabulous friends at the Front Desk would be able to help if I had additional cooling needs.

I think the best course of action is to take a look at what you're needing to keep cool and decide if the beverage cooler will do the job. For me personally, I'd probably only put canned sodas in the beverage cooler. If I had perishable items, I'd get some ice and a cooler or purchase these items as needed from my resort's quick service location or the grocery area of the resort gift shop (where available).

I hope this information is helpful, Patrick! Come back and see us at planDisney if you have more questions.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
