Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I can absolutely relate to your love of the
Haunted Mansion. It's always been one of my favorite attractions and now is my son's favorite attractions as well, so I completely understand wanting to make sure it's available during what sounds like a really meaningful trip.
Based on what I've seen in previous years, the
Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay typically goes in right before the start of
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. From what I've noticed, this process usually takes a few weeks to complete.
This year, Halloween Time runs from August 21 through October 31, 2026, so your currently planned visit may be cutting it close. However, there have not yet been any official announcements as to when this ride will go down for the switch.
My recommendation would be to keep an eye on the
Hours & Events Calendar, which includes a section near the bottom that notes attractions planned to be down for refurbishment. This calendar is available six weeks out from the current date, so you'll need to wait until late June to see the official schedule when it's released for the dates of your planned visit.
