Ahoy there, Kayleigh!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re gearing up for your high seas adventure and making sure you’ve got room in your bags for pirate gear, dress-up attire for those elegant evenings, and maybe even a little extra space to bring back a few treasures from the ship’s shops. Packing for a Disney cruise can feel a little like Mary Poppins’ carpetbag — somehow, you’ll always wish you had just one more pocket!
As your sail date approaches, keep a lookout for
your Luggage Tag Mailer. This special delivery usually arrives between 24 to 60 days before embarkation for international Guests and includes a welcome message, your reservation details, and luggage tags for each Guest. Officially, Disney Cruise Line
allows two checked bags per Guest — plenty of room to bring along everything from flippers to fairy godmother-worthy formal wear.
But don’t worry if that
Luggage Tag Mailer doesn’t arrive before you set off for your vacation. At the port, the helpful porters are ready to save the day faster than Hercules flexing his muscles. They’ll provide blank luggage tags and even markers so you can jot down your stateroom number and be on your way.
One tip from my own experience: while two bags per person is allowed, storage space in your stateroom may be more like Rapunzel’s tower than Aladdin’s Cave of Wonders. With four or five people, those eight to ten pieces of luggage can quickly feel like Scar invited the entire hyena clan into your cabin. I always recommend packing smart with collapsible duffels or nesting luggage — that way, everything tucks away neatly under the bed like magic.
I hope this helps as you
prepare for your magical voyage. May your suitcases hold just what you need, your souvenirs fit perfectly on the way home, and your adventures at sea feel as endless as the second star to the right.
Sea ya real soon as we ride the wave of summer’s final stretch in Disney style,
Dustin
