Are there any offers or anything for low Income and or homeless families? I know people have asked similar questions and the response is similar to not really but you can go cheap etc....but I'm hoping for a different answer. Thank you

    Hello, Courtney,

As a big Disney Parks fan, I love sharing the magic and wonder of a visit to the Disneyland Resort with everyone I meet. But, even though “it’s a small world,” there is still not quite enough room for everyone to experience the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Organic realities of economic supply and demand have developed over Disneyland’s 64 years. Many families and individuals who visit the parks find they need to budget and save for quite some time to experience that dream vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth. Though I have been blessed to have visited the Disneyland Resort many times over the years, I recognize and appreciate the sacrifice and efforts that many guests go through in order to have that experience.

Although there is not a program for low-income individuals and families to apply for reduced-price admission to the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland and its Cast Members strive to make a positive impact on the community around the resort. Last year, Disneyland donated over $20 million to non-profit organizations in the community. Disney Cast Members regularly participate in VoluntEARS projects. And the Disney Parks routinely execute other community outreach efforts. These are examples of the broader global citizenship initiative of the Walt Disney Company.

There are even occasional opportunities to visit the theme parks for members of the community who may not normally get such a chance. I was present when hundreds of children from Anaheim, California and surrounding areas were granted access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before the land was officially opened to the public. For many of the children, it was their first time visiting a Disney theme park. It was such a joy to see the smiles on the faces of those children when they got to explore a galaxy far, far away, fly the Millennium Falcon, and interact with Chewbacca, Rey, and other favorite characters. Though I am not a Disneyland Resort Cast Member, I still feel so honored to be associated with an organization that works so hard to be a force for good in this world.

Thanks for your question, Courtney. I hope to see ya real soon!
