Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Kala!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! While many people think about theme park admission and dining reservations when they plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, it can be easy to overlook one of the most important parts of your whole trip –– transportation to and from the airport. After all, before you can enjoy
all the magic of the Walt Disney World theme parks, you have to get there, right? I'm glad to hear that you're already considering your transportation options and I'm happy to share a few suggestions to help you decide what will work best for you.
Unfortunately, the complimentary Disney Magical Express service to and from Orlando International Airport was discontinued at the end of 2021. While I was sad to see it go, there are still plenty of great transportation options available. If you're interested in a similar service to Disney Magical Express, Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer both offer roundtrip bus transportation between the airport and Walt Disney World Resort hotels, which can be booked on their respective company websites. You can also use a rideshare service, like Uber or Lyft (which is personally my favorite option), as well as a taxi or private car service.
If you're looking for the most flexibility to come and go as you please, you might also consider renting a car during your stay. While there would be a nightly fee to park your vehicle at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or campground, that fee includes
complimentary Walt Disney World theme park parking, which might add a little flexibility to your visit. Having your own vehicle also makes it easy to shop for groceries or other necessities, so this might be a great option if you're someone who likes to keep your hotel room stocked with snacks during your vacation.
I really appreciate you visiting planDisney, Kala, and I hope this helped to answer your question. No matter how you get there, I'm wishing you a Walt Disney World Resort visit that's filled with pixie dust from beginning to end!
Happy Planning,
Amy
