Hi there, Kelly, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question about your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. As a Disney fan who lives near Walt Disney World Resort, I visit often. Sometimes my family will visit only to grab dinner at
Disney Springs or to ride Slinky Dog Dash and watch
Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You’d be surprised by how much fun you can squeeze out of your Disney day even if you have a few hours.
At the moment, there are no theme park ticket discounts for spending a shorter amount of time at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. In the past, I have seen discounted annual passes that are for one theme park after a certain time of day; however, right now, ticket and annual pass prices are as advertised on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Be sure to check out the current
Special Offers, Deals, & Discounts for the most up-to-date specials on tickets and hotel stays.
As I mentioned, there is still so much to see and experience at the theme parks that will make it all worth it no matter when you arrive. From rides to live entertainment, you’ll find that mostly everything is still available for your enjoyment even as you approach the evening hours. Of course, to maximize your day, I recommend that you “rope drop” (arrive when the theme park opens) and use
Disney Genie+ Service to enjoy the attractions without worrying about longer queues.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you do find that you are arriving very late in the day, consider postponing your theme park day for another date when you have a bit more time to savor the snacks and experience the rides’ thrills. During the half day, visit Disney Springs for some yummy eats and easygoing shopping (you’ll love the World of Disney store) or venture along the
Disney’s BoardWalk and unwind with a 4- or 6-person Surrey bike ride.
Kelly, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions, please don’t hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
