Hi Cheryl!
Walt Disney World Resort is the "Most Magical Place on Earth" because it offers magical experiences for Guests of all ages. I'm excited to hear that you and your husband are planning a trip and this year is the perfect time to do it! You will be able to join the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, where the entire resort is in party mode. Be on the lookout for special treats and merchandise celebrating the resort's special birthday!
Unfortunately, there are no theme park tickets specifically for seniors, so your husband will need standard
theme park tickets to enjoy dining experiences inside the theme parks. Your husband doesn't need a theme park ticket when enjoying restaurants in the Disney Resorts Collection hotels or
Disney Springs. Keep in mind that when your husband visits the theme parks, there will be quite a bit of Disney magic for him to enjoy even if he isn't interested in attractions. He will find that there is a wide variety of entertainment and shopping to experience, in addition to the parks' fantastic restaurants.
When my husband and I got married, my 75-year-old grandparents came with the rest of our family and joined us for a theme park day. They loved the live shows in
Disney's Animal Kingdom, they had fun shopping for merchandise, they enjoyed tasty treats around the park and they made so many memories with us! Plus, they found that the theme parks did a great job accommodating the scooters that they used to travel through the parks.
Cheryl, please feel free to come back to see us at planDisney if you have any more questions as you continue planning! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
