Hi Christine! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Oh boy! This is a great idea for your upcoming visit! Utilizing the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours to ride some thrill attractions is a perfect plan. My wife and I usually end up skipping most of these because we don't want to wait for each of us to ride separately and take away from the kids' time. But with the wait times being minimal during the extended evening hours and your kids being fast asleep in the stroller, this sounds like the perfect formula to fit in some highly anticipated rides.
Christine,
Rider Switch should be available during Extended Theme Park Hours. You'll just need to stop by the front of the ride line and speak to the Cast Member there. They will scan your MagicBand or admission card for the second rider to return at a later time. The first rider will then wait in the standby queue to ride while the other waits with the kids. After the ride is over, you'll meet back up to swap.
While many attractions are open during the extended hours at each of the parks, there will be some that are not available during this time. Make sure to check out the
list of attractions that are open so you can make a plan for the night. I was able to fit in several attractions during these extra hours, mostly due to the wait times being very low. Since this perk is only available to Guests staying in
Disney Deluxe Resorts Hotels, there are a limited number of Guests that will be able to attend.
I hope you have a magical time during your visit, Christine!
