Hey there, hi there, ho there, Amy! You're as welcome as can be, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
We too enjoyed the Disney Parks vacation planning DVDs. They really were a fun way to get the whole family excited for an upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! Although these planning DVDs are no longer offered, I hope the many online videos may still be an enjoyable way to become more acquainted with the Disneyland Resort offerings. The
Disney Parks & Resorts planning site is the prime place to start. You may also find a large collection of videos on the Disney Parks YouTube channel. You can find the link at the bottom of the
Disney Parks site. The Disney Parks Moms Panel even has a growing
library of videos to enjoy.
I do understand your concern about convenience. Gathering around a laptop or computer desk isn't quite as fun as relaxing in the living room in front of the big TV. If you have the means, I would suggest trying out connecting your computer to your TV screen. For many laptops that may be as simple as using an HDMI cable to connect to the TV. If your TV has built-in Chromecast support or if you have a Google Chromecast device connected to your TV, you can use the Google Chrome web browser to cast directly to your TV to show videos playing on your computer. In my home, I use an Apple TV connected to a projector. Running AirPlay from my wife's computer lets the whole family sit in front of the screen to enjoy a fun video together. I hope you're able to find a solution that works well for you and your family.
Good luck in your planning, Amy. And I hope you have a magical time at your next Disney Park vacation! Please stop by again with any additional questions you may have.
