I am so excited to hear that you may be planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth soon! There is so much to be excited about when planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort, but so many new experiences coming, I am glad you will be able to experience them! When booking your reservation, there are some technical things we can review about this process to address your question on payments, so let's review a few things.
When you book a trip with Disney, as long as you book a
vacation package, this includes room accommodations as well as theme park tickets, you are required to make a $200.00 down payment and the total amount due would be due 30 days from your date of travel. In the meantime, you can make payments towards your vacation package right from your
My Disney Experience account. As long as you have your trip linked to your account, simply go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of the site and look for the wording "Make Payment". You should be able to follow the prompts and as long as you are not at the 30 days from travel mark, you should be able to put in whatever amount you wanted to pay towards your vacation. With trips to Disney, there is no true benefit of paying off your vacation early as there is no interest or anything that accumulates and the pricing of your vacation will rarely if ever, go up. So this is something that is entirely up to you if you wanted to make payments or not.
If you book a room-only or purchase tickets only, unfortunately, you are not able to make payments on these options. For room-only reservations, down payments of the first night's stay plus tax are required and the full amount would be due at check-in. For ticket-only purchases, you would have to pay the full amount at check out.
