do you still offer meal plans?

Erika, hello and welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about the Disney Dining Plan.

The Disney Dining Plan is truly a fan favorite, Erika. I know that my family and I have enjoyed using it on countless past Walt Disney World vacations. It was really nice having every aspect of a Walt Disney World vacation paid for ahead of time. It really took the pressure of budgeting off and truly allowed us to be 100% in the magic.

At this time, the Disney Dining Plan remains temporarily suspended. It has not yet returned to us since the reopening of Walt Disney World two summers ago. The good news is that we do know that it will eventually make a return. Several months ago, the Disney Parks Blog released an article letting us know that they've heard the outcry of love and support for the Disney Dining Plan and they will eventually be bringing it back. At that time they just weren't sure of a release date and that's the last we've heard. I do think we might see it back this year, Erika. I feel like more and more Walt Disney World restaurants are opening back up and things are returning to normal. This is a great sign! Be sure to keep an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog. When an announcement is made, that's going to be where we can find out all of the details.

Until then, Erika, something I suggest doing is to pick up Disney Gift Cards here and there to pay for dining while you are at Walt Disney World. Disney Gift Cards can be found at most major retail locations. I like to pick them up occasionally when I am grocery shopping. It doesn't add a lot extra to my bill but they really do add up pretty quickly. These can be used in place of the Disney Dining Plan because they are already paid for ahead of time and have to be used for something at Walt Disney World. If you start collecting Disney Gift Cards and the Disney Dining Plan becomes available, you can always use those to pay off the balance of your Walt Disney World vacation. It's a win-win.

I do have my fingers crossed that the Disney Dining Plan will return soon. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Have a great week!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
