Hi there Heather, I'd like to wish you a very warm welcome from a fellow Canadian to planDisney!
One of the great things we always look forward to during our Walt Disney World Resort visits is the vast
variety of restaurants across the Parks and Resorts. In the past, we've been able to carefully budget and even save some money by taking advantage of pre-paid meals using a
Disney Dining Plan over the course of our stay.
At the present time, none of the
previously offered Disney Dining Plans are currently available to purchase. I do recommend taking a look at the various tiers that were available and what they could be redeemed for in order to gain an idea of the options that range from the more affordable
Quick-Service Dining Plan to the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan offering the most flexibility. At the moment I really do wish there were updated prices available to refer to, but to give you an idea from my personal experience in the past, the Dining Plan pricing for our stays ranged from $60 - $120 per adult, per night. I spoke with a Dining Cast Member who let me know that if the Dining Plans do make their return, you may expect the pricing to be subject to change from what it was previously.
There is however, something similar that you might be interested in for your upcoming trip: the
Disney Dining Promo Card. This is a digital gift card that comes as part of a special package offer that includes resort accommodation and tickets. I would highly recommend
looking into your eligibility and confirming whether your arrival dates can match up in order to take advantage of this offer.
Lastly, my favourite tip for fellow Canucks looking to plan ahead with specific pricing for their meals is taking advantage of
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering using the
My Disney Experience App. If you haven't already, download the app and explore what it's like to Build Your Order. This will allow you to not only preview the food and drink available at various dining locations with images, but also help you gain a better and more accurate idea of how much it can cost altogether for each of your meals.
I hope this was helpful to you for your upcoming trip down to Florida and
please feel free to come back and ask me anything else that can help you plan ahead; I always recommend checking the above links and keeping an eye out in case any information changes closer to your vacation. I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed for Dining Plans to make a comeback!
Wishing you all the best et Bon Appétit!
