Hello, Marissa!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about the
Disneyland Resort Hotels. I hope you and your family are looking forward to a magical stay at the Happiest Place on Earth!
It’s sometimes possible to arrange for a late check-out time, but this is available at the discretion of hotel management Cast Members based on the occupancy at the time of your visit and other factors. I suggest calling the Front Desk the morning you plan to check-out to make your request. However, it would be best to have a backup plan in place.
I do have a few favorite spots to relax and take a break from the hustle and bustle if your little one is able to nap in a stroller or on your lap. At Disneyland Park, a nice, long ride on the Disneyland Railroad has been known to lull my kids to sleep. You’re generally free to ride as long as you like while the train makes 20-minute loops around the park, as long as it’s not close to the end of operating hours or during the fireworks spectacular. At Disney California Adventure Park, the back of the gazebo under Silly Symphony Swings is a shady place off the beaten path to sit on a bench and enjoy a serene view of the water. If you’re in search of an indoor spot, head over to the Animation Academy, where the main lobby features mesmerizing images, video clips and music from favorite Disney films in a darkened setting. The lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa can also provide a comfy place to relax with its many couches, armchairs and rockers.
I hope this helps, Marissa. Please stop by again if there’s any other information you need as your pixie-dusted
Disneyland Resort vacation draws near!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
