Ahoy there, Kim, and welcome to planDisney! This might be the favorite question I’ve had the pleasure of answering yet! I love Disney Cruises and I love saving money, so when I can do both, it’s a win-win! Allow me to show you how…
One of the tabs I have bookmarked on my laptop is ‘
Special Offers’ on the Disney Cruise Line website. The truth is, you’ll find a lot of different deals on that page, from special
US Military Rates to the new offer where you can
take 50% off 3rd & 4th Guests on select sailings. And while not technically labeled as “last-minute deals”, those are my favorite savings to hunt down.
In my experience, when there are still cabins left to be filled about 3-6 months prior to a sailing, you’ll find verbiage on that page like “
Save up to 25% off Select Sailings”. When you click on that option, it will take you to a list of a variety of cruises leaving from a variety of ports. Now here’s what I love: you can still guarantee your stateroom category (my favorite is a Verandah), but you might not be assigned your stateroom number until you check in at the port on embarkation day.
If you have a strong preference for where you like to sleep on the ship or how close you want to be to an elevator, this might not be the option for you. But for me and my crew, as long as we’re sailing with Disney, we’re happy campers. Of course, you can always
call a friendly Disney Cruise Line representative as well, who has access to the same information as the website and would be happy to walk you through all those details.
One more thing before I let you sail away: don’t forget about all that’s included in the price of your Disney cruise! From
24-hour room service to complimentary soft serve ice cream and soda on the pool deck, I love knowing that our cruise fare covers all that and more. Now if I could only control myself when I walk into
Mickey’s Mainsail…
I hope this has opened your eyes to all the savings there are to be had on a Disney Cruise, Kim. If you think of any other questions we can help with here at
planDisney, don’t hesitate to visit us again!
SEA ya real soon!
