Hey there, CJ, and welcome to planDisney.
I agree the Backstage Magic Tour was outstanding. I remember walking through costuming, central shops, laundry facilities, and the most spectacular insight into the America Adventures Pavilion's inner workings. Sadly, there is no timeline for this tour to return. However, other experiences give you a peek behind the curtain on Disney's adventure, magic, and mystery.
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom Park is my first recommendation. What I liked most was the deep dive into the history and lore of Magic Kingdom Park. From acquiring the land to the description and intention of the original attractions, it took me beyond the pages of the Disney history books and right into the minds of Walt and Roy Disney.
Wild Africa Trek was fun for my entire family. My kids were ages 8 and 12 at the time. We traveled the savana, ate out of tiffins, and crossed rope bridges over the crocodiles while they were battling each other. It was intense. There is no other experience like it on property.
Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT. Living with the Land may be an outdated boat ride to some but for my family, it is one of our favorites. We are fascinated by the science and environmental practices that Disney adopted to help the theme parks and the planet. This tour is more than looking at plants. It is understanding how and why Disney invests in aquaculture and agriculture.
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground was really fun because it was not in a theme park and shared Resort facts and insights while riding on Segways around one of the earliest
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. If you have not ridden a Segway before, don't worry, there is training before you head out on the trail.
Hopefully the Backstage Magic and another favorite of mine, Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom, will make a roaring comeback very soon. Please do not hesitate to write
planDisney again with any follow-up questions or for more Disney vacation planning advice.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
