Hi Bart! Welcome to planDisney!
I can't think of two things that go together better than Disney and golf! And judging by the frigid temperatures in Minnesota, I'm sure you are ready to get out of the cold and head down for some suitable golfing weather. The Walt Disney World Resort offers four pristine golf courses, each with its own identity. I've been lucky to play golf here on Disney property and I can't wait to be able to do so again. Being able to stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and having the ability to visit the theme parks after my round was truly magical.
The
Walt Disney World Resort does offer vacation packages that will include hotel,
theme park tickets and rounds of golf. These packages are not advertised online but can be booked by calling (407) 939-5277. A Cast Member will be more than happy to assist and create a personalized vacation package tailored to your wants. Once you have your package squared away, you will need to book tee times for the rounds of golf that are included in your package. Typically, Disney will require you to book an early morning tee time or during the afternoon hours. You will need to call to make your tee times and they can only be made up to 90-days in advance.
While this is a great way to build an all-inclusive style stay, you do have additional options to be able to play while you are here. You can book tee times directly through the
Walt Disney World Golf website. This is a great option if you may be staying offsite or do not want to fully commit to playing just yet.
Disney's Palm Golf Course and
Disney's Magnolia Golf Course are breathtakingly beautiful courses that have all of the Disney touches. I'm known to always land in the sand traps a few times a round, but to be able to hit out of a Mickey-shaped bunker definitely lightens the blow. Also, knowing that I am a few tree-lined fairways away from Main Street, U.S.A. and the
Magic Kingdom Park is one of the best feelings.
Bart, good luck in planning your next Walt Disney World Resort stay! Maybe I'll see you out on the links one day!
Happy planning!
Greg
