Ahoy there, Wendy, and welcome to planDisney! First and foremost, whether you are a first responder or you have one in your family, I want to say a sincere thank you for the incredible dedication and courage that first responders show every single day. Whether racing toward emergencies or providing compassionate care in difficult moments, their service is something all of us here at planDisney deeply appreciate. And as someone who also keeps an eye out for pixie-dusted savings, I totally understand why you’re asking this question!
While Disney Cruise Line currently does not offer a dedicated discount for first responders, they do provide
special military rates on select sailings for active and retired U.S. military personnel. These rates are based on availability, valid for new bookings only, and limited to one stateroom per eligible military member per sailing.
That said, there are still several ways to save on your next voyage, even when sailing from California or overseas! My favorite tip to uncover the best value is to keep your eyes peeled on the
Special Offers page on the Disney Cruise Line website, which is updated regularly with promotions on select itineraries. In fact, as of today, this even includes cruises from Honolulu, Canada, England, and Florida.
Flexible travel dates can also help you snag lower prices, especially during sailings just before or after peak seasons, like after the New Year or late fall after the kids go back to school. You can even
call a Disney Cruise Line representative or an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner: they’re pros at finding savings and helping you craft the perfect cruise experience for your budget. And don't forget
all that is included in your Disney Cruise vacation (you even get
complimentary room service 24 hours a day!).
Whether this is your first sailing or you’re a seasoned
Castaway Club member, I wish you smooth seas ahead as you plan your magical escape, Wendy! And if more questions arise along the way, we hope you’ll chart a course back to
planDisney.
SEA ya real soon!
