Hi, Erin! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you're thinking of a well-deserved Walt Disney World Resort vacation! After all, there's nothing like a dose of Disney to bring a smile to your face, especially after a long year working on the front lines. Let's get you ready to relax and enjoy a little Disney magic!
The first place to look for any deals or promotions Disney is running at any given moment is on the
Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. Taking a peek just now, the only occupation based offers I'm seeing are for military members. But there are still some pretty good deals you could take advantage of, like up to 25% off Disney Resort hotels all summer. Sounds like a perfect reason to plan a summer escape!
I did find a first responder discount being offered by several
Disney Springs area hotels. These partner hotels aren't operated by Disney, but they're in a great location right next to
Disney Springs, and most do offer some nice benefits like free shuttles to the parks. Just go to
DisneySpringsHotels.com and select "First Responders & Educators" from the "Special Offers" drop-down menu to learn more. It looks like this offer is good until July 10, with travel by July 14.
Erin, one thing I love to do when I visit Walt Disney World is pick up a free Celebration Button. They have them for birthdays, anniversaries, first visits, and lots more. But you don't really need a special occasion to sport one. Any celebration will do! You can usually get a button at any
Guest Relations location, your Disney Resorts Collection hotel front desk, or most retail shops. Then, you can ask the Cast Member to write a special message on it, like "I'm Celebrating...My First Responder!" It's just a little bit of extra magic to make your vacation special.
I hope this helps you plan a practically perfect visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Erin. Thank you so much for stopping by, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
