Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Lauren!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Anytime you visit a Walt Disney World theme park you're in for plenty of excitement and tons of fun, but if you ask me, nothing adds an extra layer of pixie dust to your vacation quite like an after-hours event –– with smaller crowds, typically lower attraction wait times, and
so many snacks, it's the perfect way to end a Disney day. While basic after-hours events haven't returned yet, Disney just announced that my favorite after-hours event,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, will be returning to Magic Kingdom Park for the 2022 Spooky Season! And the best part? These events will be offered on select nights beginning August 12, 2022 –– just in time for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
If you're looking for an after-hours event that's full of frightful fun, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party definitely delivers. In addition to experiencing some of your favorite attractions after the park closes for the evening, you can also enjoy special performances from some
creepy characters, event-exclusive treats and merchandise, a special parade and
nighttime spectacular, and my favorite part –– trick-or-treating inside Magic Kingdom Park (seriously, how cool is that?!). While tickets for these event dates are already on sale for Guests of select Disney Resort hotels,
tickets for all Guests will be on sale beginning May 18th, so be sure to mark your calendar if you're interested in getting in on the late-night fun during your upcoming visit.
To help you prepare for all the fun of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind. Guests with valid tickets to the Party
do not need additional theme park admission or theme park reservations, and you can begin entering Magic Kingdom Park at 4 PM on the day of your event. When my family attends an after-hours event, we typically spend the day at our Resort until it's time to enter the park –– not only are we well-rested for an exciting night, but we can also save a little money by not purchasing additional theme park tickets. Everyone is also welcome to come in costume, even the adults! You'll just want to look over the Walt Disney World
dress code and costume guidelines as you're dreaming up the perfect costume –– the rules for Halloween event costumes differ from normal park guidelines, so be sure to check those out ahead of your visit.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Lauren. If you think of more questions as your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Haunting,
Amy
