My warm welcome to
planDisney, Kelly. Is it us parents or our little Mouseketeers who get more excited by Walt Disney World? Revealing your magical adventure to your little ones is set to be a core memory before you've even arrived at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Mickey is a very busy mouse these days, and I'm sorry to say he's unable to make a call with an official trip announcement. Not to worry, in the spirit of Hakuna Matata, there are still lots of exciting ways to surprise your kiddos, and I guarantee you'll hear squeals of utter joy!
Disney Parks YouTube has an awesome 'What a Disney Thrill Feels Like' video that can't fail to excite anyone heading to the Parks, and it includes Mickey, of course. It might be worth the watch to set the scene.
We've placed helium-filled Disney balloons in a box with a letter from Mickey attached (we found a template online). Mickey and Elsa popped up with his letter when our kids opened the box, letting them know they were on their way to Walt Disney World. They jumped and bounded around the house with excitement. Others have set up a scavenger hunt revealing the magical news with a small Disney-themed prize that the kids can take on their journey.
Rest assured, I can't think of a more thrilling and exciting surprise to have received as a kid (or indeed as an adult), so I know your trip news will bring so much joy to your family before you've even left your home. Well done, Mama -
YOU are the magic!
Once you share the exciting news, your little ones can decide on some must-dos for the adventure to continue building on the excitement. Perhaps they can select a ride or a
character that they must meet.
Have the best time relaying the news to your family, Kelly. It's just the start of the magical moments you'll experience on your Walt Disney World vacation. Louise.
