We're off to Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort in a months time and have spent the past few days getting excited looking at this beautiful resort. Is there a best way to request a room? If so, what room location would you recommend us requesting?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leah! I had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge last summer when I was tootling around the Parks enjoying myself. I even made a point to sit in the large lobby near the fireplace with a cool drink to enjoy the ambiance.

There are a few ways you can go about requesting a room at this Disney Resort Hotel, from contacting your Travel Agent to My Disney Experience. My favorite way to make room requests in inside Online Resort Check-In. When you are a month or so away from your Resort Check-In Day, you can visit your My Disney Experience account and click the blue Online Resort Check-In button. Here you can request to be near transportation, write notes or other requests. Nothing is ever 100% guaranteed, but Cast Members will do everything in their power to help you! You may also have you Resort confirmation number handy and call a Cast Member at (407) 939-1936 and ask to put notes on your room reservation. I prefer to stay near the Water Transportation Dock when I stay at this Resort, as it’s a bit quieter, still close to the restaurants and boats. This wing doesn’t have a name, but you can make the water transportation request.

If I can help you find more Resort fun at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, please let me know. It’s a wild ride that you’re sure to love! ~ Lindsey P.
