Hi Jerome,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting to hear that you’ll be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort very soon!
Jerome, first I would suggest that your wife fully signs out of her
My Disney Experience mobile app and checks that it’s fully updated within her app store. Once that’s confirmed, have her sign back in and go to “Resort Hotel” within the app. Once in that portion of the app, have her swipe down to get the page to refresh.
If the reservations still aren’t showing up, then you’ll simply want to link your account to hers and the reservations should show up if you’ve included her as a guest on them. To do this, select the three lines in the lower right corner and scroll to “My Profile” then click “Family & Friends List”. Here you can “Add a Guest” where you’ll include her name and other key information. Then under “Share Plans” you can send an email and once accepted, she’ll be linked to your account. If her name is already on the list, you’ll want to select it and make sure that you’re sharing the plans.
Hopefully the above works! If it doesn’t, you do have a few other options. You can contact the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations desk to see if they can help with the linking process. Another option would be to only have the hotel reservations in your app, which is completely fine! You would be the one in charge of making
Genie+ or
Individual Lightning Lanes since the reservation is housed in your app and if your wife has
MagicBand+, it would need to be added to your app.
One final option is that you can wait until you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort and connect with Guest Relations at your hotel! They’d also be able to help with the linking if you wanted to fix the reservations once you’re here.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you continue to prepare for your holiday in the New Year. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
