Hi! I have an October use year. If I plan a trip for July 2026 and don’t have anymore points in my 2026 use year, can I borrow points from 2027? Can I book my stay at my home resort during the 11th month window using my 2026 & 2027 points? Thanks

    Hi Heather,

Welcome home, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for visiting us today with your question. I love getting the opportunity to chat with fellow Disney Vacation Club Members and help them make the most of their membership. My family has been enjoying the flexibility of our membership for several years now, and the only thing we regret is not joining earlier!

Heather, while I cannot see the details of your account, based on the information you have shared, your 2026 points will become active in October 2026. You will be able to borrow those points for your July reservation, and this can be done at the 11-month booking window.

If you log in to your Disney Vacation Club account and visit your Member Dashboard, you can view your available points for each use year. I find this especially helpful, as I manage two contracts with different use years, it makes keeping track of my points much easier!

Have you heard about Membership Magic Beyond, Heather? It is a new program that Members eligible for membership extras can opt into for an annual fee, unlocking lots of additional perks. One of the most exciting benefits is the ability to get one bonus One-Time-Use Point for each One-Time-Use Point purchased, which can be really helpful if you need a few extra points for a reservation! (Benefits are subject to change.)

I hope this answers your question, Heather. If you have any more vacation planning questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I would be happy to help!

    Have a magical day,
    Matt
