On October 13th or that week of, we will be in Florida and planning a one day trip to Magic Kingdom, I was just curious if the Halloween parade will be happening and if the fireworks would be happening?

    Hi there, Chelsey!

I'm so happy you'll be making time to drop by The Most Magical Place on Earth when you're in Florida during the week of October 13. It's a wonderful time to visit, as all four parks will be commemorating Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary during The World's Most Magical Celebration! Magic Kingdom Park will be especially festive, with a mix of Halloween decorations (check out all the jack-o-lanterns lining Main Street U.S.A) and iridescent gorgeousness for the Golden Anniversary. If you look closely at some of the pumpkin decorations near Cinderella Castle, you might just notice that they've been transformed into Cinderella's Coach with golden leaf details - so pretty!

On select evenings through October 31, Magic Kingdom Park will be hosting a specially ticketed event to celebrate the Halloween season. Disney After Hours BOO BASH tickets have been flying off the shelves like Winnie Sanderson after Max lit the Black Flame Candle in Hocus Pocus. The event features lots of FRIGHTENINGLY FUN offerings, including Halloween-themed cavalcades (think "mini-parades" with your favorite Disney Villains and other Characters in their Halloween best). Sadly, there are no special Halloween fireworks this year, but Guests will be able to see the all-new Disney Enchantment Nighttime Spectacular prior to the event start time. (BOO BASH ticketholders will be allowed entry into Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 PM on event nights.)

There are two BOO BASH events on the week you'll be visiting, but both are sold out at this time. If you'd like to try and join the GRIM GRINNING GHOSTS at one of these exclusive events, I encourage you to check with the Cast Members at GHOST Relations (Guest Relations, for those of us among the living) or the ticket sales desk at Disney Springs to see if any BOO BASH tickets have been released for dates that fall during your time in the area. It's possible that some available tickets may MATERIALIZE for the sold-out event! There is no guarantee that any will become available, but it doesn't hurt to try if you'd be interested.

If you don't score tickets to the BOO BASH, I'd suggest visiting the park on a non-event day, since the Park Hours will be a bit shorter on event evenings. You'll definitely want to make the most of your day in the park!

I hope this helps with your plans and preparations for your upcoming visit. Please let us know if you have any more questions before you arrive - we're happy to help!
