We are going to be there in October, with our two kids, 4 and 6 years old, the question is do they need a stroller for the day in the parks? what should we bring two singles or buy a double stroller or rent one at WDW?

    Hi Rocio,

October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World!

You'll definitely want a stroller for your four year old, and it might be nice to have one for your six year old as well. The parks are huge, but beyond that the entire resort is gigantic. Little legs tire easily. You may find that both of your children are okay walking for a lot of the time, but it's nice to have that stroller when they start to get tired. I recommend bringing two umbrella strollers. They fold up easily for riding on the bus, and they are relatively easy to maneuver throughout the parks.

If one child insists on walking, you can always park the stroller and come back for it later. I do recommend tying a bandana or ribbon around the handle to help you identify your stroller. You'll be amazed to see how many guests have purchased the same strollers. Also, if it looks like rain, you'll want to have something to cover up your stroller before when you leave it parked.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
