We’ll be there in October. I have the quick dining plan. When we went in 2019 we were able to cash in a quick service for 3 snacks. Is this still an option?

Heigh-Ho, Heather, and welcome to planDisney! It's off to snack we go!

It just so happens that my love language is snacking around Walt Disney World Resort (if I were living in a cottage with Snow White, I think my name would be Snacky), so I'm thrilled to talk Disney dining with you!

The return of dining plans to Walt Disney World Resort has been highly anticipated for many years. There's just something about the all-inclusive feel they provide to Disney vacations that makes Guests' visits feel even more magical. As I previously mentioned, I could live off of Walt Disney World Resort snacks. After all, what's not to love about spring rolls in Magic Kingdom Park, lunch box tarts in Disney's Hollywood Studios, buffalo chicken chips in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and the ever-changing festival offerings in EPCOT? Like you, I loved the option to exchange unused meals for snack credits under the previous dining plans. Unfortunately, in the new dining plan era, this option is no longer available. While this is likely disappointing for Mouseketeers like us, the newer, simplified plans are super convenient and a breeze to keep track of. Happily, the meals do roll over day to day and do not expire until midnight the day of checkout from your Disney Resort hotel. This means you can save some for a delicious send-off breakfast!

Since you will be using the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, I did want to offer a bit of advice when redeeming your meals. Since what is included with your meal varies from restaurant to restaurant, the entree descriptions for each restaurant's menu in the My Disney Experience mobile app will indicate whether or not a side is included. I highly suggest reviewing this before ordering if you're hoping to maximize the value of your dining plan.

For more tips, be sure to check out the planDisney Podcast on dining plans before your visit.

I hope this was helpful, Heather, and that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is filled with magical meals. If you have any additional questions before your visit, don't hesitate to be our guest once again! We're always happy to help here at planDisney
