is October 14 2013 a good time to visit Disney World Orlando? We are 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 5 years old), what hotel do I take and for this age which is the best park?

    Hello, Raquel,

If I'm reading this correctly, you are going to be visiting for one day/night, so I'll answer this to reflect that. Since it will be only one day, I don't think you'll be at your resort much which may make a value resort worthwhile (saving money and nicely themed!). If you'd like to splurge, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing with the African savannah, the Yacht/Beach Club have a fantastic pool that is nearly a water park, and the Magic Kingdom resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Wilderness Lodge) are equally nice and so close to the park. You'll want to explore the various resorts and see which best suits your needs.  When you narrow down your choices, we can happily answer more questions.  And by the way, there are also moderate resorts (a few more amenities still at reasonable prices).

As for the park, if I had one day, I'd opt for the Magic Kingdom since it epitomizes the Disney experience. Even though my children are older now, we still visit this park the most.  Plenty of child-friendly rides and, I believe, the best fireworks and parades.

October is a great time to visit, too!
