HI! In October of 2014 my family will be going to Disney for the very first time. There will be 4 adults and children age 10 & 3. Where do I start with planning??? Any little bit of Help would be great!!!!

    Hi Becky!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am elated to hear you will be taking your first Walt Disney World vacation this fall! You must be so excited!  Fall is one of my absolute favorite times to visit; the decorations are beautiful.  Once you have decided on the when and the where you will be staying, the next items to start planning are which delicious restaurants you would like to eat at and which parks you would like to go to on which days. There are so many dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort, I could take an entire answer to list my family's favorites, so please come back and let me know if you'd like a few recommendations.  (Reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your arrival and the most popular will fill up, so it is great to plan these early.)

For choosing which days are best to visit each park, I like to consult one of the many online "crowd calendars"  Although they are only estimates based on historical data, they can be helpful guides. Hopefully this information helps you begin planning, Becky.  I would love the opportunity to help you further plan your Fairy Tale vacation, so please stop back by and let me know what else I may assist you with.  Until then, enjoy the start of your adventure and have a delightfully Disney day!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
