Hi Jo!
Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by! Of all the months to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort, October is one of my favorites. The weather is starting to cool off and the Halloween season is underway!
At this time, Disney has not announced if there will be a Halloween party later this year, which means no specific dates have been released. However, I would suspect that we will see a return of
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or an event to take its place. This party has been extremely popular over the years and something that many Guests look forward to. It typically is held on select evenings, beginning in the middle of August, and concludes on Halloween night.
In years past, on nights that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is not being held, the usual nighttime firework display will be shown. This is subject to change at any time, but I would suspect this to still be the case.
Happily Ever After made its return just a few days ago, and I fully suspect that it will still be shown later this year. Typically, on nights that the party is held, the Magic Kingdom will close early and the firework display will not be shown.
Jo, I suggest following along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements regarding special events later this year! They will have all the latest details surrounding these events, including dates and times.
I hope you have a magical visit! Happy planning!
Greg
