In Oct 2011, we had a wonderful time with the Disney Halloween festivities (Boo to You, Mickey's Party, Trick or Treating) - we vowed we'd be back. It's WDW 50th, my 50th birthday and Halloween Oct 2022. Is there Halloween plans again?

Hi Britton! I love reminiscing about past visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself during your 2011 visit during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! That event is a family favorite in my house too! It's not Halloween for us until we've seen the Headless Horseman make his frightful ride through Magic Kingdom Park!

It's so cool that you share a birthday year with the Walt Disney World Resort! Mickey and Minnie are planning an 18-month long 50th birthday celebration! The festivities, nicknamed the World's Most Magical Celebration, will kickoff on October 1, 2021! The Disney Parks are gearing up for quite the visual spectacular! Iconic locations throughout the parks are being prepped for celebratory makeovers! Our favorite Disney Characters are also getting fitted for their finest party-wear for the big celebration! They'll be excited to see you!

With all of the planning for the big anniversary, we haven't heard any announcements regarding Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Last year's party had to be cancelled due to physical distancing requirements. Even though Mickey couldn't host his Halloween party last year, he still found spirited ways to celebrate the season of haunts! The Halloween and fall decorations could be found throughout the Disney Parks and the Disney Resort Hotels! I love the Mickey-shaped jack-o-lantern wreaths at Magic Kingdom Park! At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Minnie hosted a Halloween Dine with a monster-sized feast at Hollywood and Vine! Of course, some of her favorite friends, like Mickey, joined her in their Halloween costumes as they walked around the restaurant to wave to Guests!

Like you, those of us at planDisney are waiting for some news about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up-to-date announcements and news!

Happy birthday, Britton! I hope you come to celebrate your 50th during the World's Most Magical Celebration!
